Tool #3

For this assignment, I used Kid Friendly Image Generator and Image Chef.
I used the Kid Friendly Image Generator for the "Wanted" sign. I thought I would laminate this and put it by the door outside of my new classroom! This will emphasize that I want and expect students to be excited and engaged in the learning process when they entered my room.
For some reason, I could not figure out how to put the "Post-It" onto this post. I used the Image Chef feature to find this. I added both the "Post-It and the "Wanted" sign to my sidebar. I thought the reminder note would be a good way for both students and myself to highlight things they had questions or comments about. I also though it could be used to accentuate important information.
I even got a little bit carried away. I added a photograph of myself to my blog! Vain? Probably. I couldn't really say why though.
There were so many resources and possibilities on this lesson. I had trouble picking out only two. Maybe that's why I did three?

  1. I didn't realize that the photo of me would be so huge. Now, I can't figure out how to reduce the size of it.

  2. you have to go back to the original file and make it smaller there! Then import it again in a smaller size.

  3. The kids love using any image generator. Teacher have used the tradather than the paper version.ing cards to creat cards about people. Magazine covers is a great way to have the kids create a magazine as a project. glogster is a great way to create a poster online version.
